Throughout last year, there was speculation on more than one occasion about the possible creation of a kind of MotoGP riders’ union. Currently, there is no such entity, as there is in Formula 1 with the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association (GPDA), uniting drivers in their claims.
Brad Binder, who races for Red Bull KTM, was asked by SPEEDWEEK.com if he considers it necessary to have a structure representing the riders. The South African expressed his support by stating:
– I believe that is good for the future. It’s good if all the riders come together and talk about any problems that may arise. When all the riders agree on a particular thing, it’s always good to speak with one voice that can help us move forward.
