Stage 6 is still finishing but it is possible to already advance some provisional results, with Ricky Brabec being the winner for now.
At kilometer 577 (out of 605 timed) the Honda rider was leading, ahead of Nacho Cornejo (Hero) and Tosha Schareina (Honda), while Luciano Benavides was the best KTM in fourth, and Skyler Howes (Honda) closed the top five.
However, with the stage already closed, Brabec remained as leader, this time with a 23s advantage over his teammate Adrien Van Beveren and with Nacho Cornejo falling to third position, ahead of Benavides and Daniel Sanders.
For now, the top five is just this data as there are no final results yet.
There is however some less positive news for some riders: after Kevin Benavides announced his retirement from the Dakar yesterday, Ross Branch (Hero), Cox Bradley (BAS KTM), Pedro Josep (Rieju), Alghuneim Mishal (CloudRacing) and Georgin Thomas (Enduro Normandie) announced their farewell to competition.
Branch is, among the group of pilots, the biggest heavyweight since he was fourth overall after five stages.
