With a lot of news coming in MotoGP in the past weeks, and Toprak Razgatlioglu being pointed to the category for a couple of years already, the rider continues to surprise and show his power in the WSBK and today completed a three win round at Misano. Asked about a possible move to MotoGP, the turkish didn’t hide a move but warned, again, for the many differences that there are, saying he would need time.
Quoted on GPOne, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team was asked if he felt ready to MotoGP, which earned a very straight response, that didn’t exactly put MotoGP «that» far away: ‘With today we took everything here in Misano but MotoGP is another category, everything is very different there starting with the bike. If I jumped now to MotoGP I would need time to adapt to everything’.
The turkish didn’t close to door completely and came to say that in the future there may be news about the matter, but highlighting that he is strong this moment where he is: ‘I am strong in the Superbike, especially this season with this bike, for MotoGP we will see what happens in the future’.
In the past Razga have told that he would only make a move to MotoGP if he got to do it with a factory team, back then being linked to Yamaha, given he rode an Yamaha before,
The fun fact is that there were already talks about BMW coming to MotoGP and that is exactly the team that the rider is riding at in WSBK. The future is uncertain and surprises can keep coming over…
