Raúl Fernández arrives in Texas with a clear objective: to consolidate the progress made in the last round in Argentina. The Spanish Trackhouse rider believes he has finally found solutions to the problems that affected him at the start of the season and hopes to translate that into a good result at the Circuit of the Americas.
‘Austin will be our home Grand Prix. First of all, I want to confirm the steps we took in Argentina, because there we expected a little more, but we had some problems with the bike,’ explained Fernández. Without enough time to resolve these difficulties in the pre-season, the solution came during the last race and the Spaniard is confident in his evolution.
‘We found a very good solution for the future, so I hope that in Texas we can confirm this progress. That is our main objective.’ Fernández has good memories of the North American circuit, where he achieved good results last year, finishing both races in the top 10.
The 24-year-old rider from Madrid is determined to have a good weekend in Austin and secure important points to give a new direction to his season. ‘I would like to have a solid weekend and have a good race, especially since it is the team’s home round. I hope to do a good job for them and for all our fans.’
With a positive history on this track and renewed confidence in his bike, Raúl Fernández sees this race as the ideal moment to take a step forward and establish himself as a regular contender for the top positions.
