Raúl Fernández is currently topping the MotoGP tests in Valencia with less than three hours left. The rider is yet to determine his team designation but is delivering a strong performance aboard the 2023 Aprilia RS-GP.
It was on the 28th of 29 completed laps that Raúl Fernández set the benchmark time so far: 1m29.808s. Maverick Viñales holds second place, 0.116s slower at the moment, riding the 2024 Aprilia.
Marc Márquez makes his debut with Gresini on a Ducati, and the adaptation seems to be going well: he’s in third place, 0.414s behind Raúl Fernández, already beating his fastest lap in the Valencia GP race. Naturally, the conditions are different, so the lap times may not necessarily be directly comparable.
Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) follows in fourth place, with the top five rounded out by Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati). Two-time champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) is ninth, while rookie Pedro Acosta (GasGas Tech3/KTM) is currently in the 18th position ahead of riders like Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac/Ducati), Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) or Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia).
