After four years of forced absense from the motorcycling world championships, Andrea Iannone is back to racing now at WSBK and Dani Pedrosa believes the italian can actually do well in 2024. The italian will have a competitive bike and can even fight for the victory in some races but not for the championship, he believes.
At 34, Iannone will have the eyes on him, but Pedrosa expects him to do well, but not – for now – to be a contender in the world title: ‘We’ll see how he goes! Racing with Ducati, he will have a good chance to race at the front and race for victories. However, long-term, I don’t know if can be ready to fight for the Championship because he’s been away for a long time’.
Still, Iannone is fast and can be one of the riders to be out there, challenging for race wins, Pedrosa antecipates: ‘I think he has the capabilities and the speed to be up front, fighting for victory’.
Andrea Iannone will be racing with Team GoEleven colors, with a Ducati, and, from 2013 to 2018 he battled with Pedrosa in MotoGP.
