Pedro Acosta had to miss the main race of the MotoGP Australian GP after injuring his shoulder in the Sprint race. Now, he is traveling to Thailand, hoping to receive medical clearance to compete in Buriram.
The Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rookie has been feeling less pain and used the past few days to recover. However, he will have to undergo the usual medical exams on Thursday to determine if he is fit for the Thai GP.
Acosta described the situation in a statement: ‘I’m getting better little by little, I’m still a bit sore but things are improving. I had a difficult weekend in Australia and I hope to be 100% fit in Thailand. I’ll have to undergo a medical check to see if I’m fit or not’.
And if cleared to compete in Thailand, the Spaniard made a promise: ‘If I am, we’ll face a new weekend with the same enthusiasm and the same work that we’ve been doing these last few months. Let’s go for it!’.
