On his MotoGP debut at the Valencia tests, Pedro Acosta has already had the chance to do battle with other riders, namely Maverick Viñales and Jorge Martín, with the latter admitting to some surprise at how the “veterans” quickly caught up with him at the Ricardo Tormo circuit. He also explained what he believed to be the ‘tricky part’.
In a video posted on the competition’s official website, you can see exclusive footage of the rider on his debut at the end-of-season tests, where he began by recalling the duel with two well-known riders: ‘From the outside, we didn’t look that fast. Maverick and Jorge [Martín] overtook me and in three corners I was like…’.
He went on to explain what he believes is one of the most difficult ‘parts’ for now:
– Because the bike is narrower than the Moto2 bike you can use your legs more, so you don’t use your arms as much. Everything you need to do on the straights, before braking, is the tricky part. Because if you could at least go straight, you could at least get into position and that’s it.
