In 2013, Marc Márquez made his debut in MotoGP and already in the second round, at the Americas GP, he achieved his first victory. Since then, he has been the youngest ever to have a win in the premier class… but Pedro Acosta could break that record if he wins by the German GP.
However, the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rookie doubts that this milestone is within his reach. When asked if he considers it possible to beat Márquez’s record, Acosta stated in a press conference:
– I don’t think so. At the end it’s a different MotoGP era. The bike changes a lot when we are in a group during the race. The problem is that I made a lot of laps, but I didn’t practice a race inside a race, behind a lot of bikes. It will be tough; at the end the expectations of everybody are quite high, but the expectation is for nothing. We can talk and you can talk, but it’s a different MotoGP era, it’s a different moment in our careers, so it’s not the moment to think about this record.
