This week, rumors appeared about Pedro Acosta having arm pump issues in his left arm that would lead him to be examined and possibly operated on after the Qatar Grand Prix. However, the rookie denied the situation.
According to international press reports, these alleged physical problems were associated with the drop in performance in the final phase of the Losail race. However, Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) assured that there are no physical problems, being hampered by the tyres:
– Everything is good with the arms. At the end if you watch the replays, in the lap 14 I was smoking the tyre in turn ten. It was more than clear that I was going to suffer in the last parat of the race. It is what it is. Also when I was riding in Moto2 with the Dunlops we made 24 laps wide-open not thinking in the tyres. It became also a bit from there. Anyway, it is what it is. We needed to make this mistake to be able to learn for the future.
