As a rookie in MotoGP for the 2024 season, Pedro Acosta enters the premier class through GasGas Tech3, arriving as a promising young talent after winning world titles in Moto2 and Moto3.
Since entering the paddock, he’s been alongside KTM and, speaking to the EFE Agency, the Spaniard emphasized the importance of Red Bull KTM Ajo in this year’s title: ‘I was in the right moment and place. I’m happy with this decision. No one expected someone who had lost their team to suddenly appear in KTM’s official team and win. Not even them. But without this team, it wouldn’t have been possible. The bike we used this year was the same we had from the previous year starting from Mugello’.
However, not only the team and the Austrian manufacturer helped Acosta, who acknowledged the effort of his family in making his journey possible: ‘They mortgaged a company to be able to help a kid, they jumped in blindly’.
