Ducati unveiled at Intermot 2024 the new Multistrada V2, a renewed mid-displacement crossover motorcycle, designed for twin-cylinder engine enthusiasts. With significant improvements in weight, agility, and ergonomics, the 2025 model redefines riding standards for its category.
The Multistrada V2 stands out with its 890 cc Ducati V2 engine and aluminum monocoque frame, resulting in an 18 kg reduction compared to the previous model. It now weighs just 199 kg dry weight, making it the lightest motorcycle in its class. This lightness, combined with agility, facilitates low-speed maneuvers and increases comfort even on long trips or difficult terrain.
Elegant and Functional Design
Inspired by the iconic lines of the Multistrada family, the new V2 features a sporty design with more harmonious surfaces. The front displays latest-generation LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRL), while the adjustable windscreen ensures aerodynamic protection. Elements such as deflectors and side air ducts have been integrated to improve rider thermal comfort. The light and elegant rear includes a redesigned passenger grab handle that combines functionality and aesthetics.
Optimized Comfort and Ergonomics
The seats have been redesigned, offering more space and comfort for both rider and passenger. The adjustable seat in two heights (830 mm and 850 mm) can be configured for additional heights through options available in the Ducati Performance catalog. The S version also includes the minimum preload function, which lowers the rear suspension, facilitating foot contact with the ground, even under maximum load conditions.
Power and Efficiency with the New Ducati V2 Engine
The Multistrada V2 is equipped with the new Ducati V2 engine, a compact and light twin-cylinder, producing 115 hp maximum power at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. This engine features variable valve timing, providing progressive and efficient power delivery across all rpm ranges. The Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 system ensures smooth and precise gear changes, while optimized transmission ratios improve low-speed riding.
Redesigned Chassis and Suspensions
The aluminum monocoque frame, steel trellis subframe, and cast aluminum swingarm ensure structural lightness and robustness. The Marzocchi suspension offers 170 mm travel, ideal for rough terrain, with mechanical adjustment options on the Multistrada V2 and electronic control on the S version, equipped with the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension system.
Cutting-edge Technology and Safety
Both versions include a complete electronic package with Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, and Wet). The S version also benefits from a 5″ color TFT display, with new viewing modes, cruise control, and integrated multimedia system.
