Marco Bezzecchi finished Sunday’s race at the Japanese GP in 4th position. The Italian rider, after a positive result in the Indian GP, winning first place and essential points for the championship, ends the weekend in Japan with a bittersweet feeling.
Asked what happened during the race, Bezzecchi replied: ‘I was feeling good in the rain, but there were others faster than me, Bagnaia was one of them. My windscreen was damaged, so I lost some time and Marc passed me and I couldn’t do any better. The bike was good overall, the electronics were good and so was the setup, but as always it was difficult in the rain. I didn’t understand what the problem was with the windshield, the spray from the riders in front was also a problem, but that was for everyone.
With this result, Marco Bezzecchi remains third in the championship, 47 points behind championship leader Francesco Bagnaia.
