On February 9th in Bangkok, everything will kick off for the 2025 MotoGP season. Before the tests and the first round of the year in Buriram, the capital of Thailand will host an unprecedented official presentation event.
Details have not been announced, leaving it a mystery as to what exactly will happen. It is expected to be a collective presentation of all the bikes, at least in the premier category.
The upcoming season will feature many novelties, with several riders changing teams and even rookies joining the grid. One of the most high-profile moves is Marc Márquez’s switch to Ducati, where he will be teammates with Francesco Bagnaia.
Aprilia will undergo a complete renewal with Marco Bezzecchi and the current championship leader, Jorge Martín. The Spaniard currently competes for Prima Pramac, which will become a satellite team of Yamaha with riders Miguel Oliveira and Jack Miller.
For the Thai audience specifically, an attractive aspect of this launch event will be the first opportunity to see their compatriot Somkiat Chantra at an event as a MotoGP rider. He will represent LCR Honda, being one of the rookies alongside Ai Ogura (Trackhouse Racing/Aprilia) and Fermín Aldeguer (Gresini/Ducati).
