After a one-week break, the MotoGP World Championship returns this weekend – once again across the Atlantic for the GP of the Americas in Austin.
The United States is the third stop of the season. In MotoGP, there is a clear favorite: Marc Márquez (Ducati), who dominated in Thailand and Argentina and has an impressive winning record at the Circuit of the Americas.
It will be up to his rivals to challenge that momentum, starting with his brother Álex (BK8 Gresini/Ducati), who has been the closest competitor to the eight-time world champion. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) is looking to return to the podium.
However, Austin has been a tough track for Ducati in recent years: in 2024, it was the only GP they didn’t win, with Maverick Viñales taking an Aprilia to victory. Now, the Spaniard is with Red Bull KTM Tech3, while the Noale manufacturer fields Marco Bezzecchi and, exceptionally, Lorenzo Savadori.
In Moto2, Manuel González (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP/Kalex) is making his mark with one win, a second place, and two pole positions. He arrives in the U.S. leading the championship by 11 points over Jake Dixon (Elf Marc VDS/Boscoscuro), with Arón Canet (Fantic Racing Lino Sonego/Kalex) in third. Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing/Kalex) will be racing on home soil and aiming for his first points of the year.
In Moto3, after a victory and a third-place finish, José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM) leads the standings, holding a five-point advantage over Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing/Honda). Ángel Piqueras (Frinsa-MT Helmets-MSi/KTM) follows in third, having secured his first win of the year.
