The MotoE season concluded with an exciting final race in Misano for the San Marino GP. Óscar Gutiérrez was the winner after a breathtaking battle until the last lap.
Mattia Casadei and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) made a strong start taking the first two positions ahead of Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSi). Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP), who had secured the championship title earlier in the day, was in ninth place at the beginning of the second race.
In the second lap, the top three riders gained some margin over fourth-place Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar), while continuing to battle among themselves. However, by the fourth lap, Zannoni closed the gap significantly, with a large group of riders following closely behind.
The final laps of the season were intense. Midway through the race, Gutiérrez overtook Granado to move into second place, and one lap later, he passed Casadei to take the lead. Casadei responded on the penultimate lap, regaining the lead after Gutiérrez made a mistake.
But Gutiérrez didn’t give up and, on the final lap, he overtook once more to reclaim first place. From that point on, Gutiérrez maintained his lead and secured victory, finishing ahead of Casadei and Granado in one of the season’s most thrilling battles. Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar) finished fourth, ahead of Zannoni, while Garzó completed his title-winning season with a seventh-place finish. As a result, he ended the championship with 15 more points than the runner-up, Casadei.
