As Moto Guzzi nears the 60th anniversary of its iconic V7—first introduced in 1967—the brand pays homage to its storied legacy while embracing modernity. The 2025 Moto Guzzi V7 lineup has been unveiled, featuring styling refinements, advanced technology, and the much-anticipated return of the legendary V7 Sport, now the most dynamic and advanced iteration of this classic motorcycle.
A dynamic evolution of the Moto Guzzi DNA
The Moto Guzzi V7 has always embodied the brand’s Italian craftsmanship and unique character. Since its revival in 2008, the model has undergone continuous refinement, culminating in a 2021 update with an 850cc engine. Now, the 2025 range enhances both style and performance, welcoming the V7 Sport alongside the well-known V7 Stone and V7 Special.
Central to this evolution is the air-cooled, transverse V-twin engine, a hallmark of Moto Guzzi. Compliant with Euro 5+ regulations, the updated engine boasts a 4% increase in power, now producing 67.3 HP, with torque improved to 79 Nm, peaking at just 4,400 rpm. These updates promise smoother, more flexible performance across various riding conditions, whether on commutes or spirited rides.
A new Ride-by-Wire throttle introduces multiple riding modes—Road, Rain, and a dedicated Sport mode for the V7 Sport—offering tailored responses and enhanced safety features, such as Cruise Control and advanced traction control.

The V7 Sport: A legend reimagined
The new V7 Sport combines Moto Guzzi’s rich heritage with cutting-edge technology to create the most advanced V7 to date. Sporting dual front disc brakes, USD forks, and a six-axis inertial platform, the V7 Sport introduces Cornering ABS and Cornering Traction Control, elevating safety and handling.
With a dedicated Sport riding mode, this model sharpens throttle response and limits traction control for exhilarating performance on dry roads. Lightweight alloy wheels, bespoke aluminium details, and a sporty black seat with red stitching complete the aggressive, refined aesthetic.
Refined design across the range
The V7 series maintains its distinctive blend of heritage and contemporary elegance, now featuring more detailed finishes. The 21-liter metal fuel tank, the largest in its class, showcases the sculptural V-twin engine, while new side panels, a shortened rear mudguard, and an updated exhaust system contribute to a sleeker profile.
All models benefit from LED lighting and a redesigned digital instrument cluster with updated graphics. The V7 Stone boasts minimalist styling, while the V7 Special exudes classic elegance with chrome accents. The V7 Sport adds exclusive features like bar-end mirrors, sporty wheels, and aluminium inserts on the side panels.

Chassis and comfort for every rider
The V7’s steel double-cradle frame, renowned for its balance and agility, remains a standout feature. The Sport model upgrades to a 41mm USD fork, ensuring superior control during dynamic rides. Preload-adjustable rear shocks and comfortable ergonomics make the V7 range equally suited for daily commutes and long-distance touring.
Original accessories and gear
Moto Guzzi offers an extensive array of accessories to personalise the V7, including panniers, tank bags, heated grips, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Riders can also choose from two new lines of technical apparel: the stylish MG Contrail and the sporty MG Groundspeed collections, featuring jackets, gloves, and helmets designed for safety and comfort.
The return of an icon
With its advanced features and homage to Moto Guzzi’s storied past, the 2025 Moto Guzzi V7 range stands as a testament to the brand’s ability to evolve while preserving its authenticity. From the versatile Stone to the elegant Special and the reimagined Sport, the V7 series offers something for every rider—ensuring its place as a symbol of Italian craftsmanship for years to come.
