Miguel Oliveira will not be able to return to competition for the MotoGP Qatar GP, after also missing last weekend’s GP of the Americas.
There is no official statement yet from Prima Pramac Yamaha, but according to the reliable Sky Sport Italia, Oliveira’s injury to his left sternoclavicular joint will keep him sidelined for Losail.
This means the Portuguese rider will miss at least three consecutive rounds – he raced in Argentina but was forced out of the main race in Termas de Río Hondo after a Sprint race crash.
As in Austin, his replacement will be Yamaha test rider Augusto Fernández. The Spaniard finished the main race in 13th place, scoring three points.
