Miguel Oliveira has yet to announce his future in MotoGP, with only two officially available spots remaining – both at Prima Pramac Racing, the new Yamaha satellite team for 2025.
In an interview with TNT Sports, the Portuguese rider stated that he has no comments to make on the matter while discussions are still ongoing but expressed optimism about securing the bike:
– Not much unfortunately. We have to wait for an official announcement. As I’ve been saying in the last couple of weeks, we have been in conversations with Yamaha for the Pramac seat. And until we have any official update about that, I have to be a little bit more reserved on the comments. But I would say the place is secure and we’ll just have to look forward to the present and do the best we can with Trackhouse team.
Currently in his sixth season in the premier class, Oliveira believes he still has more to achieve: ‘I’m not old, I’m 29, so I don’t feel I have achieved my full potential. I really believe that. A couple of things have been missing, but let’s see; I’m optimistic’.
