This Saturday, Maverick Viñales faced an unexpected challenge in the MotoGP Grand Prix of Thailand Sprint race. The Spanish Aprilia rider finished the race in 20th place and, after the race, expressed concern about the lack of grip and the performance of his bike, even questioning the viability of competing in the main race on Sunday, especially if he has to use a hard rear tire.
‘To be honest, we have no feeling on the bike. We have very low grip. I’m really worried about tomorrow because, if we have to do the race with the hard rear tire, it’s going to be difficult even to be on the bike’, the Aprilia Racing rider told the press.
After expressing great confidence in the preview for the GP, the truth is that this could turn out to be the exact opposite: ‘We’ll see. I’m worried that this will be a tough weekend, but we’ll try our best tomorrow’.
Viñales was the worst Aprilia rider today, finishing the race 29.474s behind the winner Enea Bastianini.
