Today’s Sprint race was marked by a huge crash between Marco Bezzecchi and Maverick Viñales, with both riders falling at high speed on the gravel of the Phillip Island circuit.
While Viñales was able to get up immediately, the same did not happen with Bezzecchi who had to be transported by stretcher off the circuit. At the end of the race, the organization informed that both riders would have to go to the medical center to assess their health, and while Viñales was declared fit, Bezzecchi will have no fractures but went to the hospital to be analyzed more deeply.
Both riders, it is worth mentioning, were projected for many meters through the gravel of the track, with the Italian being visibly more complaining from the start, and there is no reason for less since the riders were going at over 200km/h.
Sending it at Phillip Island ✊🇦🇺
