The growth that Jorge Martín demonstrated in the 2024 season was the target of widespread praise and Livio Suppo was now joined, who also highlighted the driver’s evolution and how he was able to make fewer mistakes, and remain calm, and that was the key to the title, he considered.
Suppo never had the opportunity to work with the rider but is an avowed fan of the new world champion, and told Motosan he praised the Spaniard: ‘What’s good about Jorge is that he has demonstrated that he is capable of growing during this season. He probably lost a little speed this year, but he gained a lot more consistency. In other words, I wouldn’t say he lost speed, but rather he learned to control it better.’
In the ‘championship of mistakes’ as Pecco Bagnaia called this World Championship, Suppo considers that avoiding exactly these mishaps was crucial for the future Aprilia Racing rider to reach the title:
– He made fewer mistakes, knew how to take advantage of situations, stay calm and not risk losing too many points trying to win at all costs. That’s what gave it the title. What I appreciate most about him is that he remains a fast rider, but this season he has also shown himself to be very constant and intelligent.
