This Saturday in Misano, the Aprilia All Stars event took place. Various riders, former riders, and figres from the Italian manufacturer gathered in a celebratory atmosphere, including the legend Marco Melandri… who won the All Stars Race alongside Miguel Oliveira.
According to GPOne.com, the race, with a Le Mans-style start, pitted six pairs of riders against each other over 11 laps on Aprilia RS 660 Extrema. Melandri and Oliveira formed one of the competing pairs.
After an intense duel, the Italian and Portuguese riders achieved victory, beating Maverick Viñales and journalist Stefano Cordara by 8.2s. Oliveira started the race in sixth, quickly moving up to second… before overtaking Viñales.
Shortly after, Capirossi took over the riding and secured the victory ahead of Cordara, pulling away decisively. Aleix Espargaró and Matteo Baiocco secured third place on the final lap after a battle with Edoardo Colombi and Tommaso Marcon.
