The first day of testing with the new bike for next season has come to an end and Marc Márquez already has good feedback on the bike he will be using next year.
The Spaniard, who made his debut on the factory Ducati, explained, as quoted by Crash, that he spent practically the whole day working with the new bike and always in unison with the Italian team’s engineers, in a demanding and extensive program: ‘I tested the GP25 for most of the day, 90% of the time I rode the 2025 bike. So I was working hard for the engineers. Because when you join the official team, it means you have a very strict plan with all the things you need to try and the rider is in the hands of the engineers. You’re there working for the engineers’.
And the balance was positive, with the Spaniard saying that there is indeed a progression: ‘It’s true that the bike has some positive things that work a bit better. But in the end it’s a bike and you need to ride well. If you want to be fast, you need to push. But the feeling was super good, especially with the team. That’s the most important thing in the first impression, and we worked well’.
Regarding the elements and parts that he highlights and that most excited the #93, he clarified:
– ‘The engine is a bit better on the straight, which is also important compared to last year’s bike. And then it seems that the corner entry character is a little different. I still need to figure out where the limit is.
