After just one season with Gresini, Marc Márquez will switch teams again in 2025, joining Ducati in the MotoGP. This marks a second change within a short period for Márquez, who spent a decade with Repsol Honda.
Speaking at a press conference, the Spaniard expressed pride in having overcome four challenging seasons: ‘From my personal point of view, the comeback I did from the last four years to now, is already something I’m proud of. Let’s see what we can do in the official team the next two years’.
As for joining Ducati, Márquez is fully aware of the challenge of sharing a garage with Francesco Bagnaia: ‘We know that we’ll have a very strong teammate, we’ll have the main reference inside the garage, because he won 11 races this year, he was super fast at every track. So, it will be very nice’.
That said, the eight-time world champion believes the transition will be smoother than his move to Gresini: ‘We will try to be super professional inside the garage, trying to work, trying to adapt to that style – because I will be changing all the human staff again. But with the information and data we have from this year, I think everything will be a bit easier’.
