One of the current topics in MotoGP is the new rules for 2027, which were presented last week. There are various opinions among the riders, with the restriction of aerodynamics or the end of holeshot devices being two important aspects.
According to the recently presented regulations, Marc Márquez believes that the changes can be for the better. The Gresini Racing rider stated in a press conference:
– I was joking with a Spanish journalist before, like, «we don’t know where we’ll be in 2027». Of course I checked a bit the new rules, I didn’t go in deep details, but it looks like it’s going more to the show, a little bit more restrictions in the technical side, and I think this is good for the riders.
Márquez then explained why he likes that direction: ‘Because in the end if you have less technical things on the bike, the rider can make more the difference and the value of the rider will be better. So you will look for the rider. This is something I like; they followed a bit like this in Formula 1 last year. So, let’s see’.
