After the MotoGP Austrian GP, some paddock riders headed to the Aspar Circuit in Spain for training, including brothers Álex and Marc Márquez, as well as current Moto3 leader David Alonso.
As is well known, the Márquez brothers are teammates at Gresini in MotoGP, riding Ducati Desmosedici GP23s. However, for this training session, both returned to riding… Honda bikes.
Any doubts about this were dispelled by the Repsol Honda Team itself on social media, which shared the original post from the Aspar Circuit and noted in the caption: ‘We know those bikes’.
Both Álex and Marc Márquez rode their CBR 600s, which isn’t surprising. Even though they are no longer connected to the manufacturer, they are free to maintain and ride their personal bikes without it necessarily conflicting with their commitments to Ducati and Gresini.
We know those bikes 🧐
