The collisionbetween Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia was one of the hot moments of the MotoGP Portuguese GP – naturally prone to generate some controversy and tension, since Bagnaia is a factory Ducati rider and Márquez is in the Gresini satellite team.
The Spaniard considers it to be a racing incident – albeit on the limit. In his view, the two-time world champion had a wrong approach at that stage of the race, when the battle for fifth place was at stake.
Asked if he spoke with Ducati’s general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna, Márquez clarified: ‘I don’t talk with Ducati staff, just with Davide. But the good thing is that they have the telemetry and they can see exactly what happened’.
