Two of the most media-focused riders at the beginning of the MotoGP season are Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta, for different reasons. And both made a good impression in the first free practice session of the Qatar GP in Losail.
The two Spaniards briefly led the session and finished in the top five: the promising Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM), in his first MotoGP practice, was third, just 0.071s behind the leader Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
As for Márquez, who is taking his first steps with Gresini and Ducati Desmosedici GP23, he was also in the fight for the top positions and finished fourth. The six-time world champion in the premier class was 0.177s off the top and was the second best Ducati rider, behind Martín.
