Pedro Acosta makes his MotoGP debut this year at the age of 19. If he wins by the German Grand Prix, he will become the youngest winner ever in the premier class.
The record has been held by Marc Márquez since 2013. The Gresini rider admitted in a press conference that he could be surpassed by the young Spanish compatriot, saying:
– He showed he is a super talent – in Moto3, Moto2, in the first test in Sepang and also here in Qatar. And when you are a super talent, you take a bike and you are fast. Many rookies in the past took podiums and victories, so that means he can break my record, of course. And as I always say he will be part of MotoGP in the coming years.
