Luca Marini underwent surgery this week, taking advantage of the approximately three-month break before the MotoGP action resumes. The procedure addressed an old injury that has now been fully resolved.
The Italian Repsol Honda rider fractured his collarbone in 2023, requiring a plate to be inserted during the initial surgery. This week, the plate was removed, as the rider shared on social media.
Following the procedure, Marini wrote: ‘I already feel better. Thank you to everyone who supports me. I just had the plate removed from my collarbone. Everything is fine’.
The #10 is set to return to action during the Sepang shakedown from January 31 to February 2, followed by official testing at the same circuit from February 5 to 7.
