In 2024, Luca Marini will take the place left by Marc Márquez at Repsol Honda in MotoGP. The contract was signed months after his continuity at VR46 Racing Team was announced – after the Spaniard announced his departure only in mid-October.
The Italian rider shared with the team’s press department that after Márquez’s decision, he tried to explore his possibilities of securing the seat:
– It was a shock after Marc announced his change. So, me and my group, my manager, we tried to find a way to approach this new project and improve together and try to build a better bike, better performance, to come back and win races and win world titles. This is our goal, our target, so I am sure there will be very, very satisfying moments too.
