The Tavullia Ranch was once again the stage for the traditional flat-track challenge, the 100km dei Campioni, which takes place annually. At Valentino Rossi’s home, Luca Marini set the pace on the first day, where riders from MotoGP, SBK, Moto2, Moto3, CIV and SSP, as well as specialists in the sport, took part in the competition
Luca Marini was fastest in free practice yesterday, setting the fastest combined time of 2:00.487s. Franco Morbidelli was one second behind the leader, closely followed by Elia Bartolini and Marco Bezzecchi.
Host Valentino Rossi finished sixth with a time of 2:02.366. Diogo Moreira and Lorenzo Baldassarri also made it into the top 10, while Pecco Bagnaia finished outside the top ten. The world runner-up was 2.4 seconds off the lead, followed by Tito Rabat and Andrea Migno.
Nicolò Bulega, one of the highlights of the year in the Superbike World Championship, returning to the Rancho after a five-year absence, achieved the 14th best time.
Miguel Oliveira had his best lap in 2:07.416s, immediately behind Enea Bastianini and other MotoGP faces.
