In recent years, Ducati has had no worthy rivals in MotoGP. For the upcoming season, Marc Márquez joins Francesco Bagnaia in the factory team, forming one of the strongest duos of the year.
Luca Marini, a Honda rider, was asked by the Crash.net website whether he thinks Ducati’s dominance has reached its peak. The Italian responded:
– I don’t think so. With Pecco and Marc together in the same team, they will push each other to improve themselves. As Honda, we will not be able to fight with them next year. We have to wait. So our target is to beat the other manufacturers.
In Marini’s view, Bagnaia and Márquez could even regularly stand out at the top: ‘If Aprilia and KTM are not able to reach the level of Ducati we could see just the two of them [Bagnaia and Márquez] fighting for victory every race.So maybe the peak has not yet arrived’.
