British Superbike fans, brace yourselves: Leon Haslam is making a high-profile return to Ducati for the 2025 BSB season, signing with Moto Rapido Racing in a bid to claim his second championship title. Known as the “Pocket Rocket,” Haslam, a former 2018 BSB champion, has spent the past season with ROKiT Haslam Racing BMW Motorrad, where he finished ninth. Now, he’s reuniting with Ducati, the brand where his Superbike journey began back in 2003, with hopes of delivering Moto Rapido Racing its first-ever BSB crown.
Reflecting on his Ducati comeback, Haslam couldn’t hide his enthusiasm: “I am super excited for next year, returning to Ducati where it all started. My first BSB race win and World Championship podium were with Ducati—it’s where my Superbike career truly began.” Haslam’s history with Ducati is storied; he scored ten wins on the machine from 2004 to 2007, making this reunion a thrilling prospect for fans and team alike.
Moto Rapido Racing team owner Steve Moore expressed confidence in Haslam as the rider to bring home the title. “I’m thrilled to secure Leon for our 2025 challenge,” Moore said. “We’re already aligned on what he needs from the Ducati, and we’re putting together the bike and team to ensure he can win races. Leon is as intense and focused as I am; together, I believe we can be a winning combination.”
With Haslam’s experience and the team’s shared determination, Moto Rapido Racing is starting preparations early, aiming to dominate in 2025. As Haslam prepares to push through the winter training season, he’s laser-focused on hitting the ground running, eyeing another British Superbike title. With Ducati and the “Pocket Rocket” fired up, the 2025 BSB season promises electrifying action for racing fans.
