The LCR E-Team will continue with the same pair of riders for the 2025 MotoE World Championship season. Eric Granado and Mattia Casadei have renewed their contracts with the team.
For Granado, it will be his fourth season with the Monegasque team. The Brazilian has been competing in the category since its creation in 2019, achieving 11 victories so far. He was vice-champion in 2022.
Casadei has also been in MotoE since its inception, joining the LCR E-Team this year after winning the title in 2023. His record includes ten wins, and he finished the season that ended in September as vice-champion.
With this pair of riders, LCR guarantees extensive experience in MotoE, as well as the potential to fight for the championship – a title the team has yet to secure, despite having been part of the category since its first year.
Regarding Granado, team owner Lucio Cecchinello stated: ‘We are delighted to count on Eric Granado for another season. He showed his speed and skills during his first year with us, as he finished as the vice-world champion, and he’s always been in the fight; he’s a talented rider. Over the years, we’ve created a solid relationship, and we are confident that 2025 can be a promising season for the LCR E-Team and Granado. The goal is to push and fight for the Championship, and we believe we have all the ingredients to, at least, try to do it’.
On Casadei’s renewal, Cecchinello commented: ‘We are pleased to count on Mattia Casadei for another season. He showed his talent and skills during his first year with us, as he finished as the vice-world champion in 2024; his speed is undeniable. Besides, he’s adapted very well to the team, and we are confident that 2025 can be a strong season for the LCR E-Team and Casadei. The goal is to push and fight for the Championship, and we’ll try hard to get it’.
