The financial situation of KTM AG is not significantly affecting the team’s preparations for the upcoming MotoGP season, despite serious uncertainties surrounding the project’s continuation beyond 2025.
Speaking to SPEEDWEEK.com, technical leader Wolfgang Felber clarified that preparations are on track, adhering to usual plans – including the assembly of the eight bikes:
– As far as preparations for the new season are concerned, everything is currently proceeding as normal. In recent years, we have streamlined all processes so that we set up the new machines in the third week of the year. It’s the same in 2025: next Monday, we will start rebuilding all the bikes.
The engineer added: ‘Everything is timed so that at the end of the third week, we pack the crates for the big test in Sepang. From then on, the bikes are on the road for a long time. In Munderfing, the vehicles will not return until the first round in Europe at Jerez’.
