It’s with part of the work «simplified» that Brad Binder leaves for the MotoGP tests in Sepang, given the work and indications already given by the test team. The rider spoke about the break and the parts he’ll have in the garage.
Before the start of testing, the rider began by reminiscing about the time without riding: ‘The winter break was really nice. It was nice to get home, relax a bit and take things easy and switch off from the season. It’s good to be back in Sepang and I’ve been ready to go back since Christmas, it’s been a long wait. It’s exciting for me to see the long list of parts the team has waiting for us. Let’s see how we manage it this time’.
As for the parts he’ll have at his disposal, many of them seem to be related to the aerodynamics of the bike, with the south african reacting in this way:
– I had a look and there are certainly a lot of different things. Dani [Pedrosa] and the others have already tested things and what’s good stays and what’s not so good is obviously put aside. It’s nothing crazy for us. Having them [the test team] makes our list of ten pieces, five or whatever, simpler for us. I’m looking forward, first of all, to getting back on the bike, starting to ride and getting back into the rhythm and we’ll move on.
On whether he was happy to see the KTMs in good form at the Shakedown, Binder replied: ‘It’s always good to see. Sepang in the past, the tests were awful and to see this is awesome. Like last year it was a bit better but very tough and then we got here for the race and I saw what a giant step forward we’d made and that’s really good. I’m looking forward to seeing the gains here and getting the feeling back and we’ll go from there’.
