Despite praising Honda, and even saying that is can be a possibility for the future, Jorge Martín is quite clear about where he wants to be in 2025: nothing more than the Ducati official team, even leaving… a warning.
Second in the world championship, fighting until the very last race of the season with Pecco Bagnaia, Martín stood out again in 2023 but couldn’t make a bid on the factory seat as Enea Bastianini saw his place confirmed for 2024, a vote of confidence from Ducati, after a very complicated season for the italian.
Speaking to AS, Martín clarified os wish for the next season: ‘My one hundred percent priority for 2025 is an official team. My goal is the official Ducati team, because it is the factory I am with, I know the bike and I have a lot of projection in this factory’.
And not only that but the #89 clearly said what he might do if the things doesn’t go the way he wants, hinting… leaving Ducati, for good: ‘But if they don’t want me or understand that I am not the best, I will look for something else’.
