From 2025, a new chapter begins in MotoGP for Jorge Martín, with Aprilia Racing and after four years with Ducati, culminating in his title this year. The rider regretted that it wasn’t possible to continue with the manufacturer, but has full confidence in himself. As for what he will miss the most, the Desmosedici emerges as the main element.
The Spaniard was asked, on the sidelines of the Ducati Campioni in Festa celebration, about what he will miss the most, and he began by lamenting the lack of continuity: ‘Unfortunately, we couldn’t put all the pieces together to stay at Ducati. But it was good, without a doubt. For me, it would have been a dream, but we couldn’t make it happen’.
And looking ahead to the next stage, he responded with confidence: ‘For the future, I think Aprilia has potential. And even having won the title, I believe I can still do a lot in this sport’.
The Desmosedici, that indeed will be something he will miss, and with time there will be other things, as he explained:
– What will I miss from Ducati? I don’t know. Certainly at first the bike, because I’m going to ride a different one. But with time I’ll see what I miss. Certainly I’ll take with me the experience of having fought with very strong riders like Pecco [Bagnaia] and also having learned a work method that could help me in the future.
