Jorge Martín remains very much alive in the fight for the MotoGP title. Despite seeing Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) win five of the last six rounds, he is only five points behind the championship leader.
Although Martín has only secured two victories so far, the Spanish rider for Prima Pramac has been consistent: he has only missed the podium twice in main races and once in a Sprint race.
Ricard Jové, speaking on the Dura la Vita podcast, highlighted Martín’s resilience in staying in the title hunt, praising his strong response to potentially negative moments, especially from a psychological standpoint. However, he also pointed out that Bagnaia appears to have a slight edge:
– He’s trying; he’s saving many «set points» in the sense that he’s fighting. And let’s not forget that even we doubted how he would cope mentally after the crashes, with Ducati and Aprilia. But he’s reacting very well. However, it feels like Pecco has something extra.
