Jorge Martín arrives at the Thai GP leading the MotoGP standings, with 20 points more than Francesco Bagnaia. With three rounds to go, the title remains a strong possibility for the Prima Pramac rider, who now faces the Thailand GP… which he dominated last year.
And the current form is strong, as the Spaniard highlighted in a press conference days after his second place at the Australian GP, which secured his fourth consecutive podium:
– For sure, I’m happy that I’m still battling for this championship. For sure, I’m in a good moment – we come from Indonesia, Japan, and Australia, that were all really, really good. Australia was really good, I wanted to win, but it was really difficult.
Despite the challenges he anticipates, Martín expressed particular confidence for Buriram: ‘I’m confident for this race. For sure, it will be very hot, it will be difficult. I think that both Marc [Márquez] and Pecco will be really strong. So, I think it will be a really tough weekend’.
