The last two rounds of MotoGP have given Honda signs of hope, with the best results of the season so far. At the Indonesian GP, Johann Zarco (LCR Honda) achieved the first top ten of the season for an RC213V.
Joan Mir struggled: he fell behind a lot on the first lap due to an incident in front of him, and later, he ended up crashing while making his way back up. Even so, the Repsol Honda rider was encouraged by Zarco’s performance:
– In Misano I was the one able to do something more, and here it was Johann, so he did a very good job with the team. I think they work very well together, they know how to manage all the problems that we are having with the bike at the moment. Also Taka [Nakagami] was fast in this race.
The 2020 world champion is now aiming for the Japanese GP: ‘Let’s hope that in Motegi we will put again everything on the table and we are able to be fast’.
