Luca Marini joins the Repsol Honda Team this year, where he will team up with Joan Mir. Being a new team and a new bike, the Italian has a lot to learn and relies on his Majorcan teammate in this process.
During a press conference, Marini recalled that Mir already has a year of experience with the bike and will have to learn from the Spaniard – despite the many changes to the RC213V compared to 2023:
– It’s true that Joan knows the bike a bit more. It’s very different this year, but I think ultimately the «DNA» of the bike is the same. And I have to learn from him how to ride. I also need to learn the secrets of this bike and to approach the lap time in a slightly different way from last year. But every day is better for me. Surely we will have a good level between the two, pushing each other to maximize our performance.
