Jake Dixon celebrated his second victory of the Moto2 season this Sunday at the Aragon GP. The rider led almost from start to finish after starting from pole position, also securing his fourth consecutive podium.
Thanks to a good start, Dixon (CFMoto Inde Aspar/Kalex) kept the lead ahead of Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Racing/Kalex), with Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex) overtaking the Brazilian shortly afterward. Arón Canet (Fantic Racing/Kalex), one of the contenders for victory, crashed out in the third corner and abandoned the race.
But the most impressive performance in this initial phase came from Fermín Aldeguer (Sync SpeedUp/Boscoscuro), who climbed from 11th on the grid to second in about two and a half laps.

The lead changed with 16 laps to go, with Arbolino overtaking Dixon. Moreira was third, and Aldeguer had dropped to fourth. Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo/Kalex) was also in the mix.
When he was in fourth place with 13 laps to go, Aldeguer made a mistake and collided with Öncü, losing control of his bike at turn 14. This sent the Spaniard into a highside and resulted in his retirement. Meanwhile, his teammate Alonso López joined the fight for the podium.
HUGE CRASH FOR @Aldeguer54 💥

In the second half of the race, two duos formed at the front: Dixon and Arbolino battling for the win; López and Öncü fighting for third place… which Öncü secured with an impressive overtake on the 15th lap.
After showing strong pace in the early laps, Moreira gradually lost positions as his tires wore out, eventually finishing at the tail end of the top 15.
At the front, Dixon pulled away in the final laps to secure the victory, crossing the finish line 1.779s ahead of Arbolino. Öncü held onto third, with López unable to keep up with the Turk after the overtake. Manuel González (QJMotor Gresini/Kalex) completed the top five.
Joe Roberts (OnlyFans American Racing Team/Kalex) was overly ambitious in an attempt to overtake his teammate Marcos Ramírez on the final lap, crashed, and retired. The same fate befell Sergio García (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro), who had a weekend to forget in Aragón, although he remains the championship leader.
