Jack Miller was one of the strongest riders at the start of today’s Sprint race, going from tenth to fourth before giving up positions again. The KTM rider explained that he had some problems in certain areas of the track, but overall he was positive about his day.
The KTM rider began by talking about the race and revealed in which areas he struggled the most: ‘The race was good. I felt I had a decent pace one once we got into the rhythm, even compared to the other guys but there are some areas we need to work on for tomorrow, we lost a bit of time coming out of turn two, we need to put more power to the ground before the change of direction, and there are other areas too,’ as he explained afterwards:
– Halfway through the race I had some difficulties with Enea [Bastianini] overtaking me at the chicane, I had the front of the bike shaking, nervous and it was getting worse and worse when he passed me and after he got past I was able to pull myself together and the bike worked well again from then on.
Despite sixth place, the day was positive, he says: ‘Overall it was a reasonable day and I hope that tomorrow we can challenge [the riders in front] for a little longer. The tyre held up very well and it will be interesting to see how it performs in the long race’.
The australian then explained where else he had problems: ‘Turn two and also three, five and six. It’s something I need to work on, but I hope we can find something’.
