Jorge Martín arrives at the Valencia MotoGP with a chance to become champion. The Prima Pramac rider is 21 points behind Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), a gap that will be challenging to close despite 37 points being up for grabs.
The Spaniard acknowledged in a press conference that the title is very difficult: ‘For sure after the last result it’s a bit more difficult. I think the way we were coming was good. We were recovering points in a good way, but now we are a bit far. So I’m quite relaxed, I understood after the race that now is very difficult to win’.
Considering he has nothing to lose, Martín wants to enjoy and secure two more wins in Valencia: ‘I’m happy anyway with all the season I did, so now I’ve nothing to lose. I will try to enjoy the weekend, try for sure win both races. I think I’m really capable of do that in a track that I really enjoy, I’m really fast also here. So, let’s go for it and let’s try to win both’.
