On the brink of losing the possibility of staying in MotoGP in 2024, Fabio Di Giannantonio never wanted any other option. Many riders in recent years have transitioned to the Superbike World Championship, but that wasn’t something he desired.
At 25 years old, the rider eventually found an alternative, staying in the pack with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team after securing his first win in the premier class at the Qatar GP last year.
Before having this spot secured, Di Giannantonio never considered leaving MotoGP voluntarily to seek other alternatives, being aware of his worth to continue as he stated to the championship’s official website:
– I’ve been through a moment where I was like «MotoGP or nothing». I wanted just this; I’m a MotoGP rider, I have the skills and I have the level to be a MotoGP rider, so to quit it has never been a possibility from my side. But I think also from that bad moments we made history somehow.
