Miguel Oliveira had to miss the MotoGP GP of the Americas due to injuries sustained two weeks earlier in the Sprint race of the Argentina GP.
Even from a distance, the Portuguese Prima Pramac Yamaha rider followed the action in Austin, which ended yesterday with Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) taking the victory and his teammate Jack Miller securing fifth place.
In a social media post, Oliveira admitted that being sidelined isn’t easy but assured fans that his recovery is progressing:
– It’s not easy to see the races on this side but that’s what I can do right now. The recovery is evolving and I can’t wait for the next steps of rehabilitation.
The MotoGP World Championship resumes in two weeks with the Qatar GP. It remains uncertain whether Oliveira will be fit to compete, as no official confirmation has been given yet.
