Enea Bastianini was quickly sidelined from the possibility of competing for the MotoGP title last year when he suffered an injury in the Sprint race of the first round that kept him out for several months. It wasn’t the only physical problem he faced, but now that he’s recovered, he faces 2024 with the ambition to compete at the front.
The Ducati rider made it clear in a press conference: ‘I’m here to try and win some races and fight for the title. But we have to do a great work during the test, because it’s so important to be ready from the first race. But also I don’t want to make some mistakes like last year, to be nervous in some days, because the last year was really complicated for me’.
After the challenges of 2023, Bastianini assured that this year’s season will be different: ‘I’ve learned a lot from the 2023 season and 2024 will be different without pressure – because I have a lot of pressure, but I’m here to try to win and it will be interesting and will be good to see how is my approach in Malaysia’.
